Our new family members

Well, it has been a long time and so much has happened. Towards the end of November, our cat, Jack was hit by a car. After a quick trip to the Animal ER, we were forced to make a decision. After many tears, we decided to euthanize him. He was in a lot of pain, and was having a lot of trouble breathing. We didn't want to do this, but he was in such horrible shape, it hurt our hearts to see him like this.

We buried him the next day in our backyard. He will always be with us.

We have since rescued two kittens that were at a local pet store. These kittens had been there for a couple of months, a boy and a girl. They are not related, but they are now brothers and sisters in our home. We planned to adopt the boy. We filled out the paperwork, and walked out of the pet store. Before reaching the car, we looked at each other and both agreed that we couldn't leave the girl alone. So, we walked back in and took the girl home with us too.

While we are sad about the loss of Jack, we have been able to share our love with Cooper and Heidi.
