Halloween and other ramblings

Can you believe it? October is almost over. We have been working on a costume for our daughter. It is coming together pretty well. She put it through a trial run at school last night at their annual Halloween Fest.

The job hunt continues. I submitted my resume to a few places yesterday. Now I am not one to believe in superstition. I have too much of a scientific background to believe that things happen without a true reason. So anyway, I submit my application to a national company. On the way home last night, listening to NPR on the radio, this company was one of their sponsors. It gets even better. I went to the grocery to pick up a few things, real late last night, and I grabbed the pen at the register to sign the credit card slip. Would you believe it, the pen was a pen from the same company that I submitted my resume to? Talk about weird.

To review some other topics, the "Day of Reflection" at our church went very well. I was very surprised. I also learned a lot about some other members of our church. We have also completed the pictures for a new church directory. So I am now almost done with everything that was keeping me very busy. It is nice to have some time to read again.
